The Lusque Manifesto

Our Manifesto At Lusque Jewellery Our manifesto focuses on becoming more closely aligned with the needs of our fragile environment. To achieve this goal, we must better understand how and where we stand among the wider natural ecosystem. For me, design is a distinctive act of hope. One where a creative, solutions-focused design practice insists there is a bright and happy future to design for. To deliver more, yet with a smaller footprint, I aim to make my work practices better tomorrow than they are today. The question for me, then, is what do I want that future to become? I believe that choosing to be sustainable should be made easy. Here are some of the things we are already doing in our studio on our journey into deeper sustainability. I hope you find them inspiring. Sustainable Jewellery By Design We have introduced a series of protocols to track how we work in the studio. This significantly helps reduce the potential for waste. Australian Made We proudly fly the flag for local craftsmanship. Whether it is handmade beads for a bracelet or an up-cycled vintage find, the provenance of our products is important to us. Supporting small-scale, makers, we source locally at every opportunity, whilst delivering quality and personal service. Our Environmental Impact We’ve implemented systems to help reduce our environmental impact. These systems include the impactful practices of re-cycling, up-cycling to help reduce the potential for waste. We are also very intentional about reduced energy use and the packaging we receive our raw materials in. Our sustainability goal is to develop environmentally friendly practices, at every stage of our jewellery making. You can find out more about our mission here. Our Manifesto At Lusque Jewellery

Our manifesto focuses on becoming more closely aligned with the needs of our fragile environment.

Sustainable Jewellery By Design
I have introduced a series of protocols to track how I work in the studio. This significantly helps reduce the potential for waste.

Australian Made
I proudly fly the flag for local craftsmanship. Whether it is handmade beads for a bracelet or an up-cycled vintage find, the provenance of my products is important to me.

Supporting small-scale, makers, I source locally at every opportunity, whilst delivering quality and personal service.

Our Environmental Impact
I’ve implemented systems to help reduce my studio's environmental impact. These systems include the impactful practices of re-cycling, up-cycling to help reduce the potential for waste. I am also very intentional about reduced energy use and the packaging I receive our raw materials in.

My sustainability goal is to develop environmentally friendly practices, at every stage of our jewellery making. You can find out more about my mission here.
